HELPING SAPLINGS GROW TALL AND STRONG – TREE GUARDS & STAKES
Tree guards protect trunks from external aggressions. AREA recommends tree staking systems for saplings using stake guards directly attached to the grille. Rigid links between guard, grille and frame transmit strain on trees to the ground, enabling roots to develop without being damaged.
Other tree staking solutions include removable mounting-shoes for 4-pole structures, classic staking systems with a central hole or root ball anchoring…
+ Connecting flanges
Where direct tree staking is concerned using a stake guard attached to the grille, the latter’s weight is not sufficient to resist strong winds which will strain and damage young roots. As a remedy, AREA systematically includes grille/frame connecting flanges with your order that will enable strain to be transmitted to the in-ground mounted frame.
+ Taking slopes into account
Certain AREA Guards may be adjusted to compensate for slopes with up to 7% gradient.
